As critical minerals processing and large-scale renewable energy projects continue to gain momentum across Queensland, attention is turning to what these developments mean for the supply chain and where the real procurement opportunities sit.
Projects such as Queensland Magnesia’s (QMAG) advancement of magnesium production from magnesite tailings, supported through the Queensland Government’s Collaborative Development Program, and Windlab’s growing pipeline of wind energy developments are expected to drive significant construction and operational activity across the state.
These projects are not just headline investments, they represent a pipeline of work across civil, electrical, mechanical and support services, creating opportunities for businesses that understand how to position early within the procurement process.
These opportunities will be a key focus of discussion at the upcoming Connecting Industry Luncheon in Gladstone on Wednesday 22 April, where QMAG and Windlab will provide direct insight into their projects, delivery approaches and supply chain requirements.
Connecting Industry Director Kieran Moran said the focus of the event is on helping businesses move beyond awareness and into action.
