ACCIONA Energia: Aldoga Solar Farm
ACCIONA Energia is a world leader in the development, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of renewable energy projects, and has been developing renewable energy projects in Australia since 2002.
GLOBAL LEADER IN THE INDUSTRY: ACCIONA is a leading developer of renewable energy projects with over 13GW of capacity in operation and under construction. We have over 200 wind farms globally as of 2021. We only invest in clean energy technologies, and currently have renewable energy operations in over 20 countries. ACCIONA has also successfully developed its water and infrastructure businesses.
STRONG PRESENCE IN AUSTRALIA: We currently have 600 MW of renewable energy capacity operational and under construction in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, and a 1 GW project in Queensland that is expected to be operational in 2024.



Fortescue Future Industries: Global Green Energy Manufacturing Centre (GEM)
FFI’s Global Green Energy Manufacturing Centre (GEM) will be delivered in specialist production lines according to the requirements of FFI and its customers, including the manufacture of wind turbines, long-range electric cabling, solar photovoltaic cells, electrolysers and associated infrastructure.
Stage one of the six-stage project will establish Australia’s first multi-gigawatt-scale electrolyser factory, with an initial capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW) per annum – more than doubling current global production.
Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) is a global green energy company producing zero-emission green hydrogen from 100 per cent renewable sources.
Green hydrogen is made from renewable energy like solar and wind. It is pollution free, the only by-product being steam. It is the practical and implementable solution that will revolutionise the way we power our planet, decarbonising heavy industry and creating jobs globally.
FFI is investing to create a global portfolio of renewable green hydrogen and green ammonia projects to supply 15 million tonnes per year of renewable green hydrogen by 2030, rising to 50 million tonnes per year in the decade thereafter.
FFI is also leading the world effort to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors and are responsible for the complete decarbonization of one of the biggest resources companies in the world by 2030 – our parent company Fortescue Metals Group.

The Projects: Moah Creek Renewable Energy Project (Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage), Wooderson Solar Farm (Solar, and Battery Storage), IIveragh Renewable Energy Project (Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage), the Mount Rainbow Wind Farm, and the Mount Perry Renewable Energy Project (Wind and Battery).



Genex Power: Bouldercombe Battery Project
Genex has signed an Agreement with Powerlink to fast track the development of the Project, and the land will be secured under a 30-year leasing arrangement next to Powerlink’s 275kV/132kV Bouldercombe substation. The Project will connect into an available 132kV bay at the Bouldercombe substation, which is located in a key part of the Queensland electricity grid with good network strength and Marginal Loss Factor profiles.
Tesla has been selected as the battery integrator and supplier for BBP utilising the Tesla Megapack 2.0.
The Project will operate on an arbitrage/FCAS revenue model with the ability to bid into all eight existing FCAS markets, and to participate in future markets for inertia and fast frequency response which are currently under development.
Genex expects to reach financial close for the BBP in Q2 FY2022 with the BESS being fully operational in Q3 FY2023.

Urannah Water Scheme includes a 970,000 ML dam and up to 246km of pipeline to deliver water to Moranbah and Proserpine. Collinsville Irrigation Scheme is a master planned irrigation precinct for agriculture use of up to 20,000 hectares and the Bowen Renewable Energy Hub is a pumped hydro-electric plant that will generate up to 1,4 GQ as well as wind and solar.
Located west of Mackay, the site for the Bowen Renewable Energy Hub is preferred for its topography and high-rainfall events. It has high elevation and provides opportunity for energy production (pumped storage and hydropower).
The project will create the next generation of utilities that will enable Queensland communities to prosper through sustainable water and energy supply.
Bowen River Utilities is an experienced project team who are working to deliver the Urannah Water Scheme, Collinsville Irrigation project and the Bowen Renewable Energy Hub.
Our projects will create thousands of local jobs, ensure greater water security, deliver prime agricultural land, provide more affordable energy and countless flow on economic benefits for locals in Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac regions.
The Bowen River Utilities projects are nation building projects which will support the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac region communities as they continue to grow.

Mr Smith has been with Fortescue Future Industries since its inception having worked previously in a consulting role for Fortescue enabling their operations in remote and developing regions globally. A key focus of Mr Smith’s former roles has been working across several post conflict and developing nations to build internal capacity for governance, in turn creating viable projects that encourage local development and employment.
More recently Mr Smith was given the Manufacturing portfolio where he is responsible to ensure all the major input systems and components for the FFI Projects are available at a viable cost, quality, and quantum. This role has a broad focus across the value chain and currently involves projects in wind and solar generation, hydrogen production and major electrification systems.
